Bringing back – Meal planning!!

***UPDATED with my thoughts on the new recipes****

As I was talking to a dear friend, who blogs over at From which fills the heart the other day she said she LOVED it when I posted about our meals, and how I cook for  my crew! SO I thought.. why not try to bring it back?!? Here it goes! I shop every two weeks and normally two stores.. Walmart for EVERYTHING expect meat which I purchase at Publixs .. My normal budget is 150$ but this week I blew it and spent $240. And Yes i have to take all my kids to the store with me so this is a glimpse of us!!! haha

Oldest pushing the goods, and i have the 2 littles in the cart i am pushing.. Yes we are sight to be seen.. not to mention my GROWING tummy!

Meals:

  1. Taco’s
  2. Hashbrown casserole-small group
  3. Chicken Gravy/biscuits
  4. Lasagna casserole
  5. subs
  6. tamale pie  ***family favorite!
  7. potato kielbasa **new recipe this was a huge hit! although we didn’t use the mustard.. didn’t have any
  8. BLT’s , cut up apples
  9.  chicken noodle casserole w/ sweet peas **new recipe  Very good but to hard to replace the dairy will not make again
  10. Roast beef, mashed potatoes & asparagus
  11. Chicken pot-pies
  12. ham & bean soup “ w/cornbread   **new recipe Good and really easy.. the kids loved it but Joel wasn’t a fan
  13. crockpot corn & potato chowder ***new recipe  didn’t make it yet

Snacks/things to make

  2. homemade refried beans **to try!:)
  3. pumpkin muffins
  4. brownie bags
  5. cook a whole chicken

This week is full of house guest! So I have to be on my ‘A’ game with our meals!:) And since it is our son’s 6th birthday and our 8th Anniversary there will be plenty of cake/cupcakes and all things yummy!!

Meals:

  • lasagna soup -crockpot
  • homemade  Pizza (pepperoni & Black olives)
  • Subs -fruit, chip & cookies -going to Stone Mt!
  • Bruschetta Chicken W/mashed potato
  • Pesto zucchini & pasta
  • Chicken & camping potato’s -grilling out
  • El Charro’s -eating out one night!

Snacks:

  • Granola bars (special request from my Grandma!)
  • brownies
  • green smoothies
  • homemade pita chips

Breakfast:

since we are really boring when it comes to this meal we always have the same

  • oatmeal w/oj
  • cereal w/oj

Trying a bunch of new stuff.. hope Pinteret doesn’t fail me!:) haha

  • Homemade Pizza
  • Stir Fry
  • Chicken/potato/greenbean bake- – new recipe
  • Pancake bites – another new one:)
  • Salad with chicken w/fruit

Snacks:

  • Green Smoothies (all the rage gonna give it a try)
  • Oat & banana cookies
  • Whole Wheat pita chips
  • ***dessert** Crockpot Cheesecake

since we are really boring when it comes to this meal we always have the same

  • oatmeal w/oj
  • cereal w/oj
  • Pancake bites (hoping to have some leftover!)

Its APRIL! can you believe it??! and I get to start out April with a OVEN!!!!!! YEAH!!!

Meals:

  • Breakfast (Waffles, fruit and sausage)
  • Freezer Meal: Mexican Casserole
  • pesto subs w/homemade French bread
  • lasagna soup -crockpot
  • meatball subs (going to attempt my own meatballs)
  • egg salad and tuna salad subs w/fruit

Snacks:

  • pumpkin muffins
  • pretzel balls -IT WILL BE MADE THIS WEEK!:) YEAH!
  • orange slices & raisins

Breakfast:

since we are really boring when it comes to this meal we always have the same

  • oatmeal w/oj
  • cereal w/oj
  • Freezer waffles (making extras from our breakfast night)

Our tummies are getting tired of eatting the same things over and over:) still no oven but maybe one day this year:)

Meals:

  • chicken salad wraps w/smoothies
  • northern bean soup/ homemade bread (crockpot)
  • ragatoni
  • smoothies and left overs
  • waffles & fruit
  • rotisserie chicken, potato pouches, bread, green beans (easter)

Snacks:

  • Granola bars (homemade)
  • pretzel balls -high hopes my oven piece will arrive before weekend!  (Maybe this week)
  • carrots
  • trixits and cheese

Breakfast:

since we are really boring when it comes to this meal we always have the same

  • oatmeal w/oj
  • cereal w/oj

Menu Plan for March 17th-24th

Well once again we are at the beginning of the week! SoOO we are going on 1 month without an oven..(we have a stove but no oven) BUT this week the part WILL be ordered!:) thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meals:

  • Grilled CHicken & veggies w/potato’s and
  • Taco soup- crockpot
  • Loaded grilled chicken Salad w/homemade bread & yogurt
  • Meatloaf (in crockpot ) w/mashed potato’s & applesauce
  • nacho’s
  • egg salad and tuna salad subs w/fruit
  • cookout – we provide meat neighbors provide sides

Snacks:

  • Granola bars (homemade)
  • pretzel balls -high hopes my oven piece will arrive before weekend!
  • celery w/peanut butter (trying to remember to include this more)

Breakfast:

since we are really boring when it comes to this meal we always have the same

  • oatmeal w/oj
  • cereal w/oj
  • Freezer waffles (made this over the weekend and froze them.. easy and quick nice breakfast)
