Well Last weekend I hosted my 3rd baby shower in the past 9 months (not to mention going to the 2 that were thrown for our sweet chickadee) ..I am sure something is in our water:) Because I recently found out 2 more of my friends are ‘with child’..YEAH FOR BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One thing I love about showers ‘these days’ is pinterest! Each mom has been soo different in their style and I like to host something that is PERFECT for them.. not run of the mill. I’ve done a modern hot pink and black poka dot… a modern chevron gray and yellow and this last one a vintage woodise feel. Complete with bird cage and lace! Little Ellison will be the first child for mom and dad to be and the first grand daughter on mom’s side (following 5 boys i think)… SO she was no doubt loaded down with all things PINK and MONOGRAMMED!
the invite custom made by me…
an idea i found on pinterest.. HUGE hit!
a desk turned dessert table.. sugar cookie bar (add whip topping and fruit)
brunch table.. French toast cups, sausage balls (not shown) Mint chocolate chip cake
the view all together
guest arriving! She was greatly blessed!
instead of games each guess was asked to decorate a wooden tile (which after all completed would be the ABC’s) this also was a success.. tutorial to come
the Ladies (and babies)
our Sweet Mom to be with the other co-host!
Mom-to-be with her small group!
and no baby shower is complete without a picture of my baby at the end of the party.. JUST look at those eyelashes!!!
The shower was a huge sucess. The bring a book was a wonderful idea and i am sure mom and dad enjoyed reading all the sweet notes left for their little girl. I love babies and I love parties! When combined WHAM.. lots of fun!
Around here we don’t do Santa.. (SUE ME 😦 ) But we do have an annual North Pole Breakfast.. which simply means, we do all things Santa, snowmen, reindeer, ect… My kids look forward to it every year (as do I 🙂 This allow’s our Christmas Day to be filled with thoughts of Jesus’s Birthday. So TODAY (christmas eve) was our breakfast. I was up last night making the table and getting the kitchen ready for the morning so we would not delay and begin making breakfast right away.
A place setting for Levi
With red & green pancakes made my superman, sausage, oranges, pineapple, reindeer mix, peppermint marshmallow’s, hot chocolate and OJ, it was a yummy start of Christmas Eve!
Every year they get a little something from the ‘north’ one year it was sock’s, or mitten’s and this year we did their special ornaments.. because by chance their special ornaments was also their experience.. (we only do 2 gifts for each child and then they also get 1 day -experience with us-) This makes it more fun! And lets them know they are each special… It started back in Nov with Superman.. who got this from me..
Superman’s special day..
Brother is going to Lego land.. HE Live, and breaths lego’s!
Taco is getting the opportunity to ride on a horse.. or as he calls it “rodeo show’
Sister is only 2 so we are doing simple.. she loves smoothies so off to the smoothie place (she got an owl ornament with ‘big sister on it’)
And sweet Chickie did this the entire time!
A few more pictures of us just having fun at our breakfast!!!
Love this time of year.. and getting to make so many memories! Now for naps and then off to Church for Christmas Eve services!! YEAH!
So part of my goals is to try a new recipe each week..tonight was the first one:) Thank you Pinterest!
I did 1/2 the recipe (for my Family of 5, there was PENTY!!!!!!!) I served it with grits and OJ!:) All three kids and Superman LOVED it! SOOO id say success! The picture makes it look soupy.. it wasnt.. it was more of a solid! BUT ooh so yummy- stated “taco”!!!
