NOTHING TO WEAR..

I am post baby #4 .. 3.5 months.. I am squeezing into some pre-baby things and have packed up all my Maternity and loaned it out. I am in-between the two and at times it is really frustrating..

I KNOW IT TAKES 9 MONTHS TO PUT IT  ON AND 9 MONTHS TO TAKE IT OFF… BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Id like it to go a bit faster:) Anywho I have a sweet friend who is a fashionesta and really loves to piece clothes together.. I nicely asked her if she could rummage through my closet and make something out of a hodge bodge assortment… AND SHE DID!!!!!!!!!!

SOO she came over and we pulled ALL my clothes out…

the fun begins!

the fun begins!

Then she puts things together like NO ONES business.. she made my old clothes look alive and exciting again!! She used one scarf XX different ways.. amazed!

Girls always enjoy crafts.. but who needs another coloring book?? This gift is more creative with a bit more work on my part but something that will keep them busy for hours (days if mom is lucky!!

First i went to walmart and got 3 matching pencil pouches ($0.97 each) & the supplies… I knew i wanted each girl to have thier own color due to ‘she has my bag ect’ 🙂

The first bag I created was a – Write a book – Bag.. This encourages them to become their own author..(I meant to get stickers but TOTALLY forgot:(

Write a book bag

Included in this pouch was a ‘fancy pen’ and 2 note pads ($0.75 for pen, $0.10 for a pack of 4 notebooks).. and if you are better than me.. stickers (around $2.00). And then I included the directions for the activity..

~Write a Book~

In this bag you will find a notebook {or 2} and a fun pen! Use this bag to write your own story.. Become an author!!

For the 2nd bag I created Fashion designer bag.

I picked 4 pictures of the girls with Their family and printed them (thank you facebook) and then Laminated them. This will allow them to drawl faces on the pictures and then wipe them to do it again… (Pictures- free, Lamination- free (we have a small personal one), dry erase markers- set of 4 $3.50.

The directions included in this bag was..

~Silly faces~

Dry erase markers and laminated pictures are in this bag. You can draw silly faces on each picture..then wipe off and start again!!

Add cute ribbon and tag.. all done

Total cost for each gift was $8.10 (i split the dry erase markers between the girls).. Super cute and I think they will love it!!

faith of a child…

Today as I rocked Chickadee and flipped through the mail, I noticed we received our income tax check.. although most would be thrilled, we are working through how to use that said ‘extra $$’. As I stood there {slightly pacing} tossing around ideas .. do we pay off car, get Superman his much need surgery on his mouth, fix the drainage around our house, the list goes on…I was stopped short when I saw this..

taco 4 years old

taco 4 years old

My 2nd oldest child playing quietly with is car (that no longer works due to batteries needing to be replaced, mismatched socks.. cause who really cares anyways ..) With no care in the world.. I stood there and it hit me. He doesn’t know or even care where dinner is coming from, or whether or not we will have a home tomorrow, he trusts us- his parents.. 100% .. That lead me to go check out each of the older ones and this is what i saw…IMG_20140310_171902_410 IMG_20140310_171835_403

Each child engrossed in their own world.. (these pictures were all take within second of each other).. But it really made me think.. how do we go from faith as a child, to little/no faith as an adult.. we doubt the $ will arrive, we doubt our relationship will work out, we doubt just about everything.. we say we air on the side of caution.. but is that Biblical?? i am not sure and i am not here to debate it.. but i am simply saying.. my 3 older children and my tax return all made me stop and think.. God wants what is best for me..PERIOD.. i don’t need to ‘worry’ or frate, i just need to trust.. WHOLE-heartly. Yes things may not end up BEAUTIFUL or how we want it, but he loves us more than we love ourselves.. or he would not have created us.. Although i still have to figure out how to spend the tax return I now know that life is full of faith, are we {I} willing to trust and hold on for the ride like our children or walk doubtful into the future???

Baby Shower #3

Well Last weekend I hosted my 3rd baby shower in the past 9 months (not to mention going to the 2 that were thrown for our sweet chickadee) ..I am sure something is in our water:) Because I recently found out 2 more of my friends are ‘with child’..YEAH FOR BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One thing I love about showers ‘these days’ is pinterest! Each mom has been soo different in their style and I like to host something that is PERFECT for them.. not run of the mill. I’ve done a modern hot pink and black poka dot… a modern chevron gray and yellow and this last one a vintage woodise feel. Complete with bird cage and lace! Little Ellison will be the first child for mom and dad to be and the first grand daughter on mom’s side (following 5 boys i think)… SO she was no doubt loaded down with all things PINK and MONOGRAMMED!

friends….

As I pulled out of CFA today after a full-fun-filled couple hours.. I thought over the day with a small smile. It was there that i realized many things…one was how blessed i am…

I have lived in GA for almost 9 years now..(3 months after i got married my groom whisked me away from ORLANDO..(can i say it big enough?!?!:(  ) and we landed here.. knowing only each other and his parents. ME being a little (ok maybe a bit more than a little) social, I craved female interaction. How do you just go out and FIND a friend.. I had many friends actually BUT they all lived in ORLANDO.. the friends there had known me since either toddler-hood or elementary.. so being friends came easy.. BUT now it was hard, how was i to FIND a friend…

As I looked back on my day i realized.. GOD blessed me with many friends, found in the most unusual ways… birthing class (with our first’s), teaching a coupon class, waiting outside the library (FOR 20 minutes), small group, blog world, church, neighbor, and friends of a friend. I have friends who will do anything for me.. keep ALL 3 kids for me, run to the store for me, listen to me vent, laugh or cry, and live life together. As I look over these past 9 years I am so grateful for the friends WHOM to me are family. They cover my kids with prayer, correct when needed (which can be a ton) and just plan BE there. They don’t judge when I have a bad day (lets face it they will to and the roles will be reverse), or when we announce ‘we are having another baby’ (NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT).

Today I sat across a friend who was having a hard day, and although my other friends had just met this lady they reached out and embraced her in conversations and love. As i saw this unfold I realized HOW bless i am.. to have friends, real friends.. sister like friends!

love you each!!!

SOO blessed!
